Laura Linney '82 won the 2013 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role in Showtime's "The Big C: Hereafter," a four-episode finale to her character Cathy Jamison's battle with skin cancer.

This is Linney's third win in this particular category, but her first for her role in "The Big C." She won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie in 2008 for "John Adams" and in 2001 for "Wild Iris."

Unfortunately, Linney was working and not able to attend the 2013 Emmys.
